These terms are the agreement between AnyBay, Inc. (“AnyBay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the storage operator using our service (“you”). AnyBay builds websites for self-storage: a storefront, a one-page online move-in, and an automatic follow-up email to a renter who does not finish checkout, all running on the storage software you already use.
These terms cover how the service works, how it connects to your storage software, what happens when a renter pays online, and how either side stops. What you pay, and anything else we agree commercially, is in the written order between us and is not repeated here. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to what is on this page.
We host a website for your locations. It reads unit availability and pricing from your storage software, shows them to renters, and writes completed rentals back. Your storage software stays the system of record for your units, renters, and rentals. We do not replace it, and we do not ask you to move your data out of it.
We add features and change how the service works over time. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will tell you before it takes effect.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the people you invite to it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has them.
You must have the authority to act for the locations you connect, and the content you publish through the service must be yours to publish.
Your content, your renters' details, your maintenance logs, and the records in your storage software are yours. We use them to run the service for you and for nothing else. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how we handle it, and it forms part of this agreement.
To run your website we need to reach your storage software. You create a user account for AnyBay inside that software and give us its user name and password. We hold those encrypted and use them to make calls on your behalf: reading units and prices, and writing rentals you have chosen to accept online.
You decide what that user account can do. If you narrow its permissions, parts of the service stop working, and we will show you which parts rather than guessing on your behalf.
Taking payment online is off until you turn it on. You choose it in your dashboard, under Move-in, and you can turn it off again in the same place. By turning it on, you agree to this section.
Card details do not reach AnyBay servers in readable form. A renter's card is encrypted in their browser and travels to your storage software through our card processor, which decrypts it at the last step. This is how we keep card numbers off our own systems.
The sign-in you gave us travels on that same request. On SiteLink, a payment and the sign-in for your storage software are parts of one message, so the request that carries the card also carries that user name and password through our card processor. Our card processor can read them on the way. Every other call we make to your storage software goes straight there and carries no card details.
That user account is yours, and disabling it is how you end our access. You created it, you can switch it off, and switching it off ends AnyBay's access to that storage software at once and in full. On SiteLink you will find it in Corporate Control Center. You do not have to ask us, and you do not have to wait for us. That is the step this section exists to make sure you know you have.
We name our card processor, and the other companies that handle information for us, in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
Money from a renter goes to your merchant account, through your storage software. We do not hold it, and we are not a party to the rental agreement between you and your renter.
You agree not to:
We work to keep the service up, and we depend on companies we do not control, including your storage software vendor and our hosting and payment providers. When your storage software is unreachable we show your website from the last information we read, and we say on screen that it is not live. We do not promise uninterrupted service.
You can stop using the service at any time, and you can end our access to your storage software yourself, as Section 5 describes. Tell us and we will close your account at the end of your current billing period.
We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or another operator at risk, or if we are required to. Where the situation allows it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
When the agreement ends, we stop making calls to your storage software and we take your website down. Your units, your renters, and the rentals we wrote stay in your storage software, where they have been all along.
Your maintenance logs are the exception. Each location's log is kept in AnyBay, not in your storage software, so ending the agreement does not delete it. We keep the logs and their photos after your account is closed. An entry someone deletes from a log can be restored for 30 days, and after that it is removed from AnyBay, as our Privacy Policy describes.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top and tell you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, you may end the agreement under Section 8.
